That's funny because we talked about doing the side screens for cases of laptops we used to ship around for portable classrooms. Didn't do it before I left, but I expect someday that will be "normal"

Think of the new flip phone with the continuous screen.

Years ago Lenovo made a ThinkPad for engineers that was 17" widescreen and a slideout for document viewing. It was a beast, even compared to current high-end gaming laptops. My biggest gripe with that machine, and I think it would apply to this machine, is the base is so tall it becomes uncomfortable to use the keyboard.

I mean, I think a multiple monitor setup is fine (I have that both in my actual office, where I've only been about 4 or 5 times since March, and my home office). But that thing is crazy.
